Stew & Oyster to open in Malton’s Town Hall this Spring

The Fitzwilliam (Malton) Estate are pleased to confirm that the popular Stew & Oyster brand will be opening its sixth unit in the former Malton Town Hall in April this year.

Located in the heart of Malton, the Grade II listed building recently underwent a £380,000 restoration led by the Estate, with its period features being renovated by skilled local craftsmen whilst preserving the heritage and character of the property.

Helen Barry, Estate Manager for the Fitzwilliam Estate, stated: “We are delighted that we have been able to attract Stew & Oyster to come to Malton and we’re very impressed with their approach to jointly undertaking this significant renovation of our flagship building in the Market Place. We are very much looking forward to seeing this lovely building come alive, for residents and visitors during the day and into the evening, and welcoming Stew & Oyster to the town!”

Stew & Oyster established its first unit in 2009 in Calls Landing, Leeds. All six sites are housed in impressive historical buildings, tastefully renovated and combined with their contemporary aesthetics. Stew & Oyster’s new Malton site will be serving a range of craft beers and ales, accompanied by a simple casual dining menu.

The Fitzwilliam (Malton) Estate was advised by agent Fleurets in the marketing of the property.
