Fitzwilliam Malton Estate have recently worked with Pinnacle Conservation Ltd, York to complete important external fabric repairs to 6 St Michael Street, a Grade II Listed Building in Malton.  Work has included a re-roof of the slate roof, timber repairs and joinery replacement. Repair to the coursed dressed sandstone walls, necessitating some new stone replacement with hand cut local limestone, and a final full repointing with lime mortar.

The previous occupier, House Martins Day Care, has been providing high-quality early years care in the heart of Malton since 1999. Requiring larger premises, the Estate worked with Marsha Turnbull to relocate her operation from 6 St Michael’s Street to larger premises at 14 Railway street.

The team at House Martins have settled in well at 14 Railway Street, maintaining the 'home-from-home' feel of the previous setting, whilst offering enhanced facilities to support, grow and enrich the children in House Martin’s care.

6 St Michael's Street now stands refreshed, and just about ready for its next occupier. More on this very soon...!
