Fitzwilliam Malton Estate is delighted to welcome William Hogg who joins the team in Malton for a 12-month placement, forming part of his BSc (Hons) in Rural Enterprise and Land Management at Harper Adams University. Will is already proving to be a huge asset with his contribution to the team.
The Estate's partnership with Harper Adams is a longstanding one and we are always very impressed by the high quality of students. We look forward to that partnership continuing.
Placements provide a great opportunity for both the Estate and student. It is a chance for the student to enjoy a wide variety of experience acquiring business and surveying skills and an opportunity for the Estate as their employer to harness young talent with fresh eyes and minds. There is a sense of pride when a placement student returns to university after a successful and rewarding year, although there is also a sense of loss as they leave having left their mark.
The Estate did welcome back the 2021/22 placement student Deaglan HunterBlair who returned to the Estate as a graduate to continue his education and training, achieving his RICS and CAAV at the Estate during late 2025. Deaglan has proven to be a significant member of the team including his promotion to Assistant Estate Surveyor.
