Malton

Malton is the business centre of the district of Ryedale located between York and Scarborough.

It hosts a mix of national and multiple retailers and attractive local shops. The town has an immediate catchment area of 34,284 people.

Malton is at the gateway to the popular North York Moors, and within a few minutes drive of the popular tourist attractions of Castle Howard, Eden Camp and Flamingo Land. Ryedale attracts 3.6 million visitors a year and tourists spend over £96m per year in the locality.

Located close to the A64, Malton is centred around a traditional market square, encompassing numerous period buildings - many which date back to the 1600s. The picturesque River Derwent runs alongside, with twin town Norton - known nationally for its links with horse racing - occupying the east bank.
